Ethnic and New Canadians Research

Over the past 50 years Canada has become increasingly multi-ethnic and multi-cultural.

But what's happened more recently is that the mosaic itself has been changing: in the post war years most immigrants came from Europe; now most newcomers are from Asia.

China has been the leading country of birth among individuals who have immigrated to Canada since the 1990s, followed by South Asian countries, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Marketing to new Canadians and ethnic Canadians requires a sustained effort and an understanding of how these markets differ from mainstream Canadians demographically, behaviourally and attitudinally.

Ipsos' Ethnic and New Canadians Research team has both the research expertise and cultural understanding to reach and communicate with targeted ethnic audiences. The quality of our research provides a solid foundation to support your strategic marketing, organizational policy and diversity strategy efforts.
